exhausts himself. Guess who wins?
The balance, however, is a delicate one: the
moment our bodies shift from the vertical,
gravity starts pulling unevenly on our
structures, robbing us of our precious energy
and often leaving us in chronic pain.
How do these
imbalances develop?
Let’s take a simple example. Say, at age seven,
you fall from a tree and injure your ankle. Your
parents rush you to the hospital, where X-rays
are taken. The doctor says there are no broken
bones, everyone breathes a sigh of relief, and
you are taken home.
But while your injured ankle is healing, you shift
your weight to the opposite leg, which grows
stronger, and you start to rely on it for support.
Years later, after the fall from the tree has long
been forgotten, you 昀椀nd you now have a “good”
