leg, the one you push o昀昀 with when jumping,
stand on while waiting in line, and so on.
The problem, however, doesn’t stop there.
Being vertically aligned, it sets o昀昀 a chain
reaction of compensations that ricochet
throughout the body.
To compensate for the leg imbalance, your
pelvic girdle must also adjust, causing your
spinal muscles to pull unevenly, which ends up
a昀昀ecting your neck and shoulders. Having no
other place to go, the tension builds there and
you start to develop tension headaches. You
rub your neck constantly, but the pain never
goes away, and you start to feel “stressed.”
Desperate for relief, you go to the gym, take
yoga classes, get weekly massages, and visit
every healthcare practitioner you can think
of, but no one can solve your problem. Why?
Because everyone is focused on 昀椀xing your
